UNICEF, KSPHCDA seek stakeholders' support for improved awareness on BCU vaccination in Kogi

Oluremi Tinubu, Nigeria’s First Lady, has donated N50 million to 250 elderly citizens in Kogi under her Renewed Hope Initiative Elderly Support Scheme (RHIESS). Dr Ahmed Tijani-Anaje in Okene, Okene Local Government Area. It would be recalled that Kogi First Lady had on Saturday at Banquet Hall, Government House, Lokoja, held a sensitisation campaign program where she reaffirmed her commitment to sustain the fight to curb violence against women in the state. NOA, Stakeholders Advocate Collective Efforts To Fight Gender Base Violence

The Director General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, made the call on Thursday at a Town hall meeting in Lokoja, organised by the Agency as part of activities to mark the "16 Days Activism Against Gender Base Violence (GBV). In bid to offer better transport services to the people of Kogi Central Senatorial District, Kogi State Ministry of Transport has revived the Confluence Express Services park in Okene, which is now plying Okene to Lagos and Okene to Kano. Speaking at the flag-off of the park  in Okene, the State Commissioner of Transport, Mr. Atuluku Victor Levi, said the move was to reduce challenges associated with transportation as well as ensure safety of lives and property of the people on the road.
