Governor Ododo charges Corps members deployed to Kogi State to serve their father land with integrity
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo has charged Corps members deployed to the State to contribute positively to the growth of their fatherland during and after their service Year.
Governor Ododo gave the charge in a message to the swearing-in of the Twenty Twenty Four Batch-C, Stream One Corps Members Deployed to kogi State at the National Youth Service Corps Orientation Camp, Asaya Kabba.
Represented by the Director Youth, Kogi State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mallam Abubakar Abdullahi, the Governor, while declaring the Twenty Twenty Four Batch 'C' Stream One exercise opened, Congratulated the Corps Members for successful completion of their various academic programmes which qualified them to participate in the orientation course.
Governor Ododo encourage the Corps Members to take every aspect of the Orientation Camp seriously, advising them to serve their fatherland with integrity and loyalty and as well participate in allactivities in the camp.
He said Kogi State Government will do its possible best towards ensuring their pleasant staying in the state and urged them to initiate new innovation to support the present administration which will enhance the state economy and Nigeria at large.
The Governor also advised the Corps Members to stay away from all forms of negative acts such as Fighting, Drunkenness, Cultism and Drug Abuse that can affect their life and NYSC scheme.
The Governor noted that Kogi Government is aware of the issues of insecurity across the country, assuring that adequate measures will be put in place to ensure their safety during their service year in the state.
He commended staff and management of the NYSC scheme led by the its Coordinator, Mr.Femi Osungbohu and other collaborating agencies for their determination and commitment towards guiding the Youths to take their rightful places as leaders of the Nation.
In his remark, kogi State Coordinator of the NYSC scheme, Mr. Femi Osungbohu warned the Corps Members against violating the rules and regulations guarding the camp.
The state Coordinator appealed to the State Government to continue to support the camp especially in the area of security during and after the orientation course.
