NYCN: Stakeholders of National Youth Council of Nigeria commends Governor Ododo for Youths inclusion in governance

Stakeholders of the Kogi state Chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) have unanimously commended Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo for Youths inclusion in his governance.

They gave the commendation during the stakeholders meeting with Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development in his office in Lokoja.

Speaking at the meeting, the Pioneer Chairman of the Association in the state, Doctor Haruna Opotu Yusuff  described the administration of Governor Ododo in the area of Youth development as impressive.

Doctor Yusuff said stakeholders of the NYCN have unanimously resolved to continue to intensify  their supports and loyalty to the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo to enable it succeed.

The pioneer Chairman noted that the massive appointment of Youths into political offices under the administration of Governor Ododo deserves commendation, saying they are happy with his leadership style and called on people of the to continue to support the present administration for all round development of the state.

In his remark, the state Chairman of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Mr. Benjamin Jeremiah said the inclusion of NYCN in the kogi state budget was the first to happen under Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo in the state.

Mr. Benjamin Jeremiah, on behalf of the state Executives of the Association and Youths in the state, assured of their total support and dedication to the present administration.

According to him, Governor Ododo  deserves commendation for the prompt payment of monthly subvention of the NYCN  and appealed to youths in the state to continue to support the present administration at the times.

The State Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development Hon. Aridaojo Monday Anyebe, who is also the Convener of the meeting, said the purpose of the meeting was to  ensure continued unity, peace and stability among members of the association in the state.

The Commissioner noted that  the administration of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo has done well for Youths in the state especially in the area of serious appointment among the Youth in the state.

Hon. Anyebe said the Government of Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is a Government of all particularly the Youth and the less privileged in the state, advising the youths to be united always and avoid faction among themselves.

The Commissioner emphasized the need for the youths to continue to support and pray for the success of the present administration, assuring that  Governor Ododo is ready to carry them along in the scheme of things.

Present at the meeting include; the permanent secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Mallam Jibo Haruna Muhammed, the Director Youth in the Ministry, Mrs Motunrayo Babatunde, the state Executives of the Association and all the Twenty One local Government Coordinators in the State of  NYCN were in attendance.

SECURITY: OLAMABORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN ENGAGES OFANTE OGUGU COMMUNITY, PLACES BAN ON RECEIVING NEW FULANIS

In a bold and proactive move to address rising insecurity and the influx of Fulani into Ofante Ogugu community, Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Ameh Williams, on June 20th, visited the community and Declared Zero Tolerance for insecurity and Criminal Activities in the area. 2024/2025 WAEC Data Capturing Commences In Kogi Public Secondary Schools Jan. 13

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, Jan. 10, 2025 The Kogi State Ministry of Education, has announced the date for the commencement of Data Capturing for 2024/2025  West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Public Secondary Schools across the state.   The announcement was made in a statement signed by Mrs Iyabo Moraiyewa, the WAEC Desk Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Education on Friday in Lokoja.  According to the statement, the 2024/2025 WAEC data capturing would commence on Monday, January 13, 2025.
