Ramadan: Gov. Ododo's aide donates cash, clothing to 150 women in Kogi

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, March 31, 2024 (NAN) Mr Abdullahi Amkpita, the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Grassroots Mobilisation to Kogi Governor, has empowered 150 women with clothing materials and cash donations of N5,000 each. Governor Ododo to receive Torch of Unity on Saturday in Lokoja

Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo is to receive the Torch of Unity in Lokoja, the State Capital on Saturday, 29th March, 2025. A statement by  the Director of Sports, Kogi State Sports Council, Mr Akowe Sule Adejoh noted that the Torch of Unity is a Unifier symbol Torch which heralds the eminence of the National Sports Festival Programme. National Directorate of Employment disburses empowerment items to unemployed persons in Kogi State.

National Directorate  of Employment (NDE), has disbursed  empowerment items  to unemployed persons who participated under the ninety-three thousand, seven hundred and thirty-one jobs creation initiative of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Tinubu led Administration in Kogi  State. The Director General of the NDE, Silas Ali Agara in a message to the distribution of the items in Lokoja, said  it was a continuous effort to tackle unemployment through the development of vocational skills among the teaming unemployed youths in the Country. National Inland Waterways Authority held a one day sensitization meeting for Stakeholders of Maritime Transportation, boat operators, Research and Rescue Marshall on the adherence to safety protocols on inland waterways and inaugurated  Lokoja Area Office Emergency Response and Rescue Team. Lent/Ramadan: Kabba-Bunu Chairman distributes 1,138 bags of 50kg rice to residents

Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has distributed about 1,138 branded 50kg rice to residents across the 15 wards of the council. Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi State.   A pressure group, Say No to Violence in Ebiraland (SNTVE), has condemned the intimidation and harassment of Senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Sen. Zacchaeus Dare Michael, has urged Muslim faithful to use the holy month of Ramadan to offer more prayers for Nigeria amidst the economic hardships. Zacchaeus made the call in a congratulatory message to Muslims, which was made available to Journalists on Saturday in Kabba, by his Chief Press Secretary (COS), Omofa John.
