COMRADE AMEH SUNDAY AGADA EMERGES CHAIRMAN, OFANTE YOUTH ASSOCIATION, LOKOJA BRANCH

Comrade Ameh Sunday Agada has been elected as the new Chairman of Ofante Youth Association (OYA), Lokoja Branch, along other executives. This followed a free, fair and transparent election conducted at the meeting's venue, Crowther Quarters Lokoja, to elect new executives that will oversee the affairs of the association for the next three years. Those elected are: Ameh Sunday Agada-Chairman, Onuche Levi Sunday-General Secretary and Sunday Ojonimi-Treasurer. Timothy Idenyi remain Assistant Secretary, Ladi Monday, Financial Secretary, Negedu Christopher Assistant Financial secretary and Philip Ayegba, Public Relationship Officer (PRO). While Ojima-ojo Shaibu remain as  Chairlady of the Association. Emmanuel Obaro, has commissioned a series of projects aimed at boosting security, empowering women, and improving local infrastructure. The projects include patrol vehicles and motorcycles to security agencies, lock-up shops at Itedo Makutu, cash support grants for market women, classroom renovations at Community Secondary School, Isanlu, and drainage construction in flood-prone areas. Newly elected president of Handball Federation of Nigeria,  Mr Jibril Ojih Saidu  (FNIQS) has hit the ground running in a bid to bring speedy and rapid development to the federation. Kogi State Security Adviser cautions politicians against uncouth confrontation

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, Nov. 11, 2025 (NAN) The Security Adviser to Kogi State Government, Cdr Jerry Omodara (rtd), has warned politicians in the state against engaging in divisive politics and uncouth confrontation to destabilise the state. Omodara gave the advice at a one-day workshop organised by his office in collaboration with the Kogi Women Empowerment Coalition (KWEC) on Tuesday in Lokoja. Omodara stressed that Kogi State is moving forward and that no individual or group will be allowed to destabilise the state.  Omodara warned those using insecurity to destabilise the state to desist, advising them to collaborate with the government to move the state forward. Ogorimagongo LGA Emerges Overall Best in PHC Quality Service Delivery Award in Kogi

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, Nov. 7, 2025  The Ogirimangogo Local Government Area, has emerged the overall best winner among the 21 local government areas of Kogi State, in quality Primary Healthcare (PHC) service delivery. The State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, rewarded the outstanding LGAs and personnel during the Commissioning of 80 Revitalised PHCs facilities on Friday in Lokoja. The governor announced various categories of cash prizes awards for recipients as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare delivery across the state. The Ogirimangogo LGA, who emerged the overall winner got a star prize of N5 million from the Governor, the first position in each Senatorial District got N3 million each, second position got N2 million. The individual health officer with outstanding performance across LGAs in healthcare delivery received N250,000 each. The Chairman of Kogi United and Confluence Queens Football Club, Hon. Isah Abudulmalik Dolly, has assured the players of the female team of improved welfare packages. Hon. Isah Dolly gave the assurance while addressing the players and Management staff of Confluence Queens Football club at the training ground in Lokoja, ahead of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Premiership. The Confluence Queens Football Club has since began training ahead of the NWFL, which will officially kick off on November 26, 2025 and conclude on April 22, 2026. Despite not winning the Sheroes Cup Preseason Tournament in Abuja, the Chairman expressed satisfaction with the players' performance and urged them to strive for victory in the upcoming league.
