PRESIDENT HANDBALL FEDERATION OF NIGERIA VISIT PRESIDENT OF CONFEDERATION OF AFRICAN HANDBALL IN BENIN REPUBLIC

Newly elected president of Handball Federation of Nigeria,  Mr Jibril Ojih Saidu  (FNIQS) has hit the ground running in a bid to bring speedy and rapid development to the federation. The president was in Benin Republic on a thank you visit to the president of the Confederation of African football CAHB, Dr Aremou

During their interaction, Mr Jibril Ojih Saidu (FNIQS) specially appreciated the handball governing body in Africa for the recent inclusion of Nigeria's Men senior national team in the forthcoming 2026  handball African Cup Of Nations billed for Rwanda. 

Mr Jibril Ojih Saidu, who is also the Secretary-General of Commonwealth Handball Association, in his usual humble disposition, also made a passionate request for capacity programs for Coaches and referees education which he said will broaden their knowledge especially in new technical areas of the game which will inturn build, strengthen and further develop the game of handball in Nigeria. 

The president also made a passionate plea to the African handball supremo, Dr Aremou, during the visit for support and collaboration towards grassroot development of handball in Nigeria, especially from the school levels which he said will help unearth hidden talents. 

In his response, the President of the Confederation of African handball, Dr Aremou, thanked Mr Jibril Ojih Saidu (FNIQS) for the visit and assured him of his Continious support to the Nigeria handball family and the development of the game in Nigwria. He said it was a thing of joy to have Nigeria back to participate in the forthcoming 2026 African cup of nations considering Nigeria's position and importance on the continent.
