COMRADE AMEH SUNDAY AGADA EMERGES CHAIRMAN, OFANTE YOUTH ASSOCIATION, LOKOJA BRANCH

Comrade Ameh Sunday Agada has been elected as the new Chairman of Ofante Youth Association (OYA), Lokoja Branch, along other executives.

This followed a free, fair and transparent election conducted at the meeting's venue, Crowther Quarters Lokoja, to elect new executives that will oversee the affairs of the association for the next three years.

Those elected are: Ameh Sunday Agada-Chairman, Onuche Levi Sunday-General Secretary and Sunday Ojonimi-Treasurer.

Timothy Idenyi remain Assistant Secretary, Ladi Monday, Financial Secretary, Negedu Christopher Assistant Financial secretary and Philip Ayegba, Public Relationship Officer (PRO).

While Ojima-ojo Shaibu remain as  Chairlady of the Association.

Declaring the results, the Electoral Committee Chairman, Mr. Friday Itodo said Ameh Sunday Agada scored 38 votes to defeat his opponent, Sunday Unekwu who polled 24 votes.

Mr. Itodo who described the election as free, fair and transparent, said the association is a family meeting, and urged the winners, losers and other members of the association to sustain the existing peace, love and unity among one another.

The Outgoing Chairman, Comrade Samuel Edeh  expressed happiness with the peaceful conduct of the election, and appreciated the patrons and members of the association for their cooperations which resulted to the success of the exercise.
"The election of Ofante Youth Association, Lokoja branch was conducted peacefully without violence and i'm very happy for the cooperation from my  patrons, the floor members and all my executives. I thank god for all they have done for the peaceful and success of today election."

Comrade Edeh charged the new Executives to carry everybody along in the scheme of things, as well as members to give the executives their unwavering supports  to enable them succeed for the progress of the association and Ofante community.
"I'm advising the incoming executives to carry everybody along
to work hand in hand with all the members and whatever things that you want to achieve being a leader, you must achieve it if you carry all the members along."

Responding, the newly elected chairman of the association, Comrade Ameh Sunday Agada, thanked the members for finding him worthy of the position and promised to justify the confidence repose in him.
"My heart is overwhelmed with joy for the honour given to me this afternoon to serve and to represent you as your chairman, I equally appreciate God Almighty for making it possible for me to emerge as the new chairman of our great association, I also appreciate every one who has believed in me as a person to vote for me to become the chairman of this noble association." Comrade Ameh.

The new chairman promised to serve the people with integrity, sincerity, accountability and ever ready to carry everyone along in his governance.

Comrade Ameh Agada appealed to members for their cooperations to enable them take the association to the next level, saying the door of his administration is always open to accept constructive criticism that can move the meeting to greater height.
"As your chairman, I promise to serve you with the whole of my strength, ever ready to carry everybody along in this new government. I have come to serve not to be served. I plead with all of you to cooperate with me as we move this association to the next level where we can be recognized globally. The door of my administration is wide open to accept constructive criticism that can move the meeting to greater height." His Words.

On his part, the newly elected secretary, Mr Onuche Levi Sunday, said he had learned a lot for awhile in the system, and assured of bringing his wealth of experience to bare in doing more for the progress of the association.
"I have been there. I see the truth. I fought for the truth and I'm coming out for the truth and by the grace of God, in this new government, we are going to surprise our members by bringing positive changes on board."
