ISANLU PROGRESSIVE UNION, LOKOJA HOLDS ITS 2025 ANNUAL DAY WITH CALLS FOR UNITY
The Isanlu Progressive Union, Lokoja Branch has held its 2025 Annual Day, with a call on members to sustain unity among one another for the peace and progress of Isanlu land.
Member representing Yagba East Constituency in Kogi State House of Assembly, Honourable Emmanuel Obaro, made the call in a message to the event in Lokoja.
Honourable Emmanuel Obaro who was the Chairman at the occasion and represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Cooperate Social Responsibility, Hon. Sunday Paul said peace and unity attracts meaningful development and urged the people to be united towards achieving common goals.
Honourable Obaro expressed his commitment to the support of the security in Isanlu communities, saying he had earlier donated two sharon buses and several motorcycles for the purpose of improving security architecture in the area, as well as donated Five Hundred thousand naira to the union for the celebration of Lokoja Branch of Annual Isanlu Day.

Elder Joseph Friday Owoniyi, said the Union, with the motor, "Unity is Strength", aims at ensuring unity and togetherness among the people.
Elder Owoniyi thanked the members for turning out in their numbers to mark the day and called on those who are yet to join the union to do so, emphasizing the importance of unity, peace, progress and development of Isanlu land.
The Chairman also appealed to leaders from Insalu land to support the course, especially towards improving the security situation in Insalu communities.
"We advise our leaders to be more supportive of individuals, especially the indigenous people of Isanlu, to work towards the Isanlu unity." Elder Owoniyi stated.
The Olu-Rigirigi of Bagido, Insalu, His Royal Highness, Okutagiri, retired Commodore Theophilus Ilemore, while emphasizing the importance of the occasion, said
Isanlu progressive people believe that when they assemble and focus in one direction, they can achieve a lot of things, hence the need for greater commitment to the realization of set objectives.
The Traditional ruler appealed to people of Isanlu land to sustain unity among one another, saying they can achieve more if they are united and embrace team work.
"The advice for my people is this, if they can unite together, we can achieve a lot of things. From the little you see, the broom, if you take it one after the other, you can break it, but if you bring it as a team, you can only bend it, you can't break it." His words.
The Chairman, Kogi State Christian Pilgrims Commission, Chief Christopher Olubumi and an elder statesman and founder of the union, Barrister OJuola were among dignities that graced the occasion.
Highlight of the event was the launching of Chairs and Special Prayers for Isanlu land, led by prophet Raphael Mustapha.
