SPECIAL ADVISER ON ART & CULTURE, HON. JUNWO JUMABEE INAUGURATES MR LARGE BUSINESS ACADE, PROMISES AN EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
Special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on Art and Culture, Hon. Junwon Olorunnipa Jumabee has promised to promote entrepreneurship among youths and the people in order to reduce unemployment.
Jumabee was speaking at the Post Flood Housing Estate in Lokoja while inaugurating Mr Large Barbing Empire And Game Acade.
He noted that the initiative by Mr Large was commendable, stressing that the measure was a demonstration of love for his immediate community and the society at large.
According to him, the business Center would promote the economic activities of the people amad urged the people of the area to take advantage of the opportunity provided.
The Special Adviser promised to embark on an empowerment programme in the Community, saying the area was in dire need of government's attention.
Honourable Jumabee explained that his vision to provide empowerment and encourage entrepreneurship was borne out of his desire to give back to the society and impact positively on lives, adding that the promise will be fulfilled before the end of the year.
"I am going to empower the people of this community, Post Flood Housing Estate, and this is to give the people a new lease of life, in order to appreciate the government who also gave us the opportunity to serve. I hereby thank the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello and the incumbent, the Chief Servant, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo who have deemed it fit to appoint me into this position and today, I am the youngest serving Special Adviser in Nigeria, to God be the Glory ", he stated.
He maintained that deliberate steps will be taken to ensure that youths in the area acquire the necessary skills at the business centre for self reliance and thanked the community leadership, women and youths for their show of solidarity.
In his Speech, the Chairman of the Community, Doctor Samuel Atuluku noted that security was key in any community, emphasizing that his leadership has taken steps to create an enabling environment for all business to thrive.
Dr. Atuluku commended Mr Large for his contribution to the development of the community and assured of his cooperation in order to attain the objectives for both himself and the entire community.
Earlier, the Chief Executive Officer of the business Centre, Mr Large Abdulyekeen Aleru said the innovation was to bring greater glory to the community and add value to the business environment.
Mr Large added that the Barbing Empire And Game Acade would provide first class services to the people and expressed appreciation to the Special Adviser, Hon. Jumabee for honouring his invitation which testifies of his humble disposition and political inclusiveness.
Special Assistant on Local Government, Mr Abdulhakeem, popularly known as Tripple "A" was part of the entourage of the Special Adviser, Honourable Jumabee.
Dignitaries from far and near, including past leaders of the Post Flood Housing Estate, the Edembe of Gadumo and others attended the ceremony .
