Mr. Jibril Saidu Ojih FNIQS Re-elected into Handball Federation of Nigeria Board

Jos, Plateau State - The North Central elections into various Sports Federations have been successfully conducted today, 27th September 2025, and Mr. Jibril Saidu Ojih (FNIQS), Chairman of the Kogi State Handball Association and Secretary General of the Commonwealth Handball Association, has been re-elected as a Member representing the North Central zone on the board of the Handball Federation of Nigeria.

In his reaction, Mr. Jibril expressed gratitude to the Almighty God for His continuous blessings and to stakeholders for their tireless efforts in promoting the game of Handball. He emphasized the importance of unity among Handball stakeholders nationwide, calling on them to work together towards a common goal of elevating the sport to new heights. "To Whom Much Is Given, Much Is Expected," he quoted, underscoring the responsibility that comes with leadership.

Mr. Jibril also extended his appreciation to delegates from the seven states of the North Central zone for their patience, discipline, and adherence to the electoral rules. He reiterated his commitment to collaborative leadership, stating, "No Victor, No Vanquished," as he seeks the support and prayers of the Handball community and its well-wishers.

With the forthcoming election for the position of PRESIDENT OF THE HANDBALL FEDERATION OF NIGERIA IN OCTOBER, MR. JIBRIL looks forward to continued support from stakeholders. His re-election is a testament to his dedication and leadership in the Handball community.

SECURITY: OLAMABORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN ENGAGES OFANTE OGUGU COMMUNITY, PLACES BAN ON RECEIVING NEW FULANIS

In a bold and proactive move to address rising insecurity and the influx of Fulani into Ofante Ogugu community, Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Ameh Williams, on June 20th, visited the community and Declared Zero Tolerance for insecurity and Criminal Activities in the area. The high-powered security and community engagement meeting attracted personalities including traditional rulers, women and youth leaders, security operatives, the Fulani and Hausa leadership in Ofante, political office holders, and other relevant stakeholders from Ofante, Adupi, Emodu, and surrounding communities. 2024/2025 WAEC Data Capturing Commences In Kogi Public Secondary Schools Jan. 13

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, Jan. 10, 2025 The Kogi State Ministry of Education, has announced the date for the commencement of Data Capturing for 2024/2025  West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Public Secondary Schools across the state.   The announcement was made in a statement signed by Mrs Iyabo Moraiyewa, the WAEC Desk Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Education on Friday in Lokoja.  According to the statement, the 2024/2025 WAEC data capturing would commence on Monday, January 13, 2025. Moraiyewa solicited for the total support and cooperation of the relevant stakeholders for a seamless exercise.
