Kogi East Chapter of Coalition of Political Parties drums support for Hon Abdullahi Halims third term bid in 2027 elections

Kogi East Chapter of Coalition of Political Parties have expressed readiness to support third term bid  of Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims’ as member representing Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituency comes 2027 elections.

The coalition's statement by its Public relation Secretary, Mohammed Dangana explained that Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims’ representation has been widely acknowledged as the most impactful in Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituency since the advent of the current democratic dispensation, stressing that his consistent leadership style, beginning from his days in the State House of Assembly, reflects his integrity, character, and composure in engaging with the electorate—qualities that have grown stronger as his political career advances.

The coalition noted that in recognition of his outstanding fulfillment of major electoral promises, and considering his current position as Deputy Majority Leader, as well as his remarkable leadership trajectory in the House of Representatives, the Coalition of Political Parties in Kogi East hereby passes a Vote of Confidence in him.

According to them, the Vote of Confidence translates into strong support for his third term bid in 2027, pointing out that his return to the House of Representatives carries numerous advantages, notably, with the office of the Speaker expected to be zoned to the North Central, as Rt. Hon. Halims, being the Deputy Majority Leader in the 10th National Assembly, stands closer than anyone else in the zone to clinch the position due to his strategic role and influence.

The coalition while emphasizing the importance of the office of the Speaker of the National Assembly, said it has wield greater legislative power than that of a Senator.

They maintained that their advocacy is driven by the desire to attract more dividends of democracy to the people of Constituency, as Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has been tested, trusted, and proven to be reliable.

They appealed to opinion leaders and stakeholders in the APC from Ankpa Local Government to unite in support of his return, saying collective goal is genuine development, and advised them to emulate the strategy of our core northern brothers who continuously re-elect their own to consolidate influence and attract greater benefits to their communities.

The trajectory of this principle has already yielded significant dividends of democracy in our constituency through his performance.

They also urged those aspiring to contest for the House of Representatives seat from this Federal Constituency to exercise patience, saying if Rt. Hon. Halims return and ascend to the position of Speaker, the immense opportunities and resources available in that office would not only serve Ankpa/Omala/Olamaboro Federal Constituency but also extend benefits beyond.

In summary, based on his outstanding record, current strategic position, and demonstrated leadership, the Coalition of Political Parties in Kogi East firmly endorses Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims for a third term in the House of Representatives come 2027.
