10,465 application received at the close of 2025 Sen. Karimi's Education Foundation/Tinubu Support Group Bursary.
Sen. Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation and Tinubu Support Group Bursary 2025 says 10,465 applications were received at the close of registration.
The Committee made the disclosure in a statement while giving update on the exercise.
According to the Committee, " After the close of the registration for the Senator Sunday Steve Karimi Education Foundation and Tinubu Support Group Bursary 2025, on the 31st of August, 2025 as stipulated by the Central Committee of the program by 12 midnight, we are glad to inform the general public that a total of 10,465 applications were received".
The Committee disclosed that the next phase of the process is the sorting and screening stage that would ensure a transparent selection of the qualified 3,000 successful applicants.
The Committee said work is in progress as promised by Senator Sunday Steve Karimi at the beginning of the program for all indigenes of Kogi State in public tertiary institutions across Nigeria, assured of a transparent exercise.
According to the Committee, the names of successful applicants would be published in due course by the Central Committee.
The Committee enjoined all applicants and interested parties to follow the DSSK MEDIA TEAM for updates maintaining that Senator Karimi is fully committed to ensuring that all applicants are given equal opportunity throughout the process by ensuring transparency, accountability, and equity to all applicants.
Recalled that the Senator has earmarked N300m for the exercise for 2025. Recalled that in 2024, the Senator spent the sum of N100m to offer scholarship to students in public tertiary institutions in Kogi West Senatorial District.
The 2025 exercise is a broader exercise will also cater for tertiary institution students in Kogi East and Central Senatorial District.
3000 tertiary Institution Students from Kogi State are expected to benefit from the Sen. Karimi's Tinubu's Educational Support Group Bursary Award in the State.
Out of the 3000 tertiary institution students, 1000 from Kogi East, 610 from Central and 1390 from West Senatorial Districts of Kogi State respectively are set to benefit from President Tinubu's Educational Support Group Bursary Award.
The bursary empowerment which offers a year scholarship for tuition is facilitated by Sen. Sunday Steve Karimi's Education Foundation.
Sen. Karimi Representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the National Assembly, had announced the commencement of the bursary for Higher Institution Students across the State.
The Senator disclosed that each of the beneficiary of the Bursary is to benefit N100,000, commenced the application for the bursary on 1st August , will run till the 31st AUGUST 2025.
