CSO TO IMMEDIATE PAST GOVERNOR DONATES FOOTBALL EQUIPMENTS TO KOGI UNITED AHEAD OF RESUMPTION

The Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Abdulmalik has donated football equipments worth hundreds of thousands of Naira to kogi united football club.


The items which were handed over to the new team manager of the club, Itodo Michael Olachene, comprises, small tactical board with the seed numbered, latest whistles, flat cones, 10 pairs of Fifa approved Balls, set of Bibs, agility ladder, Huddles, Slalom Poles, training kits among others.


The football equipments are meant to support the new vision and effort to revitalize and rejuvenate the Kogi united football club for optimum performance and results. 


Team manager of Kogi United FC, Itodo Michael Olachene, while receiving the items, appreciated the CSO for his philanthropic gesture towards the team, describing him as a man with a large and accommodating heart who has continued to touch lives across board positively despite not being a politician but a career civil servant.


He added, Abdulmalik has been part and parcel of the progress and development of the club, saying he has done this on a several occasions even as he always don't want people to say much about him, which most of his deeds speaks volumes. 


According to him, Abdulmalik has always channel his legitimate earnings to the services of humanity. 

"I am saying this not because I want to praise  but I want it to be an avenue where other sport lovers would emulate him because we cannot solely rely on the government to do everything for the team. Our little contribution can ease pressure on the running cost. Whatever anyone does would be adequately accounted for and put to use".

" Alhaji Abdulmalik no doubt is a philanthropist with a large heart who goes out of his way to make others in need happy. He has, over the years demonstrated his love for the growth and development of kogi united. These training kits and gadgets gifted to the club will go a long way in resolving the equipment deficit we are facing"

" On behalf of the government,  management of kogi united fc, football loving fraternity in the state and fans of the club thank and appreciate this exemplary personality for his kind gesture and also promised to make use of the items judiciously particularly that the team is preparing for its player’s screening exercise as they prepare into the new season 

The sport icon has on several occasions demonstrated his love for football and our dear club Kogi Utd. His support has motivated young and a handful of budding talents that abounds in the state.

SECURITY: OLAMABORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN ENGAGES OFANTE OGUGU COMMUNITY, PLACES BAN ON RECEIVING NEW FULANIS

In a bold and proactive move to address rising insecurity and the influx of Fulani into Ofante Ogugu community, Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Ameh Williams, on June 20th, visited the community and Declared Zero Tolerance for insecurity and Criminal Activities in the area. The high-powered security and community engagement meeting attracted personalities including traditional rulers, women and youth leaders, security operatives, the Fulani and Hausa leadership in Ofante, political office holders, and other relevant stakeholders from Ofante, Adupi, Emodu, and surrounding communities. 2024/2025 WAEC Data Capturing Commences In Kogi Public Secondary Schools Jan. 13

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, Jan. 10, 2025 The Kogi State Ministry of Education, has announced the date for the commencement of Data Capturing for 2024/2025  West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Public Secondary Schools across the state.   The announcement was made in a statement signed by Mrs Iyabo Moraiyewa, the WAEC Desk Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Education on Friday in Lokoja.  According to the statement, the 2024/2025 WAEC data capturing would commence on Monday, January 13, 2025. Moraiyewa solicited for the total support and cooperation of the relevant stakeholders for a seamless exercise.
