NATIONAL DIRECTORATE OF EMPLOYMENT CALLS ON PUBLIC TO DISREGARD RUMOUR MAKING ROUND THAT IT IS REGISTERING UNEMPLOYED PERSONS

National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has called on the public to disregard the rumour making round that it is registering unemployed persons at its offices nationwide.

Kogi State Information and Public Relation Officer of the National Directorate of Employment, Abdulmaleek Tijani Ibrahim made the call in an interview with our Reporter in Lokoja.

Early this year, there has been rumour circulating on different social media platforms, urging unemployed persons to register at any office of the NDE nationwide, claiming the registration will last for only three weeks.

Disclaiming the rumour, National Directorate of Employment, through its Kogi State Information Officer, Abdulmaleek Ibrahim said the information was false and did not originate from the NDE.

"The attention of the management of the National Directorate of Employment (NDE) has been drawn to a message circulating on social media urging unemployed persons to register at any NDE office nationwide, claiming the registration will last for three weeks and encouraging the public to share the information widely.
The NDE wishes to categorically state that this information is false and did not originate from us. The public is advised to disregard the message in its entirety and refrain from acting on it". He said 

Abdulmaleek called on the public to disregard the message in its entirety and refrain from acting on it, saying any official announcements, programmes, or directives from the NDE are communicated through verified channels such as its official website, social media handles, offices nationwide and recognized media outlets.

"The NDE wishes to categorically state that this information is false and did not originate from us. The public is advised to disregard the message in its entirety and refrain from acting on it.
"Any official announcements, programmes, or directives from the NDE are communicated through verified channels such as our official website, social media handles, offices nationwide and recognized media outlets.
"We urge the public to verify any information attributed to the NDE to avoid being misled by false or unauthorized communications". 

The Information Officer explained that the NDE did recruitment under the programme known as ninety-three thousand seven hundred and thirty-one jobs across the country in October last year, which beneficiaries are still in their various training centers.
