KOGI NUP:ENGR. CLEMENT OHIDA RE-ELECTED FOR A SECOND TERM, ASSURES OF ALL INCLUSIVE LEADERSHIP

Following the successful completion of first term as chairman of Kogi state chapter of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, members of the Union has renowed the mandate of Engr. Clement Ohida for another term of four years. 

The election which came in form of affirmation was supervised by a delegation from the national secretariat of the Union Abuja, a high powered kogi state government delegation led by the Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo,Secretary to Kogi State Government, Mrs Folashade Ayo Arike, kogi state head of civil service, pastor Elijah Evinemi had their representatives in attendance,Special Adviser to the governor on Labour matters, Comrade Onu  Johnson Edoka, past leaders of the Union and labor leaders from other union bodies actively participated the epoch making the delegate conference. .

The pragmatic action of the senior citizens of Kogi state in taking the unanimous decision to returned Engr.clement Ohida un-oppose at a well  celebrated ceremony held in Lokoja, kogi state capital may not be unconnected with the starling leadership qualities he showed during the first term.

In a post election speech,the re-elected State chairman of Nigeria Union of Pensioners, expressed happiness and profound gratitude to members for finding him and other officials worthy to serve the Union for another four years.term.

Engr. Clement Ohida acknowledged the increase of retirees monthly pension to ten thousand naira to both State and local government retirees,and the free healthcare insurance coverage to all members who pension are below fifty thousand naira were some of his modest achievements and attributed the  success story to the  state Governor , Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo passion in improving their welfare packages.

He admonished members to give him  and his team their maximum support and cooperation to enable their tenure  influence welfare packages that will uplift their living conditions and assured of operating an all inclusive administration were their advises and ideas are required for a smooth operations.

SECURITY: OLAMABORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN ENGAGES OFANTE OGUGU COMMUNITY, PLACES BAN ON RECEIVING NEW FULANIS

In a bold and proactive move to address rising insecurity and the influx of Fulani into Ofante Ogugu community, Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Ameh Williams, on June 20th, visited the community and Declared Zero Tolerance for insecurity and Criminal Activities in the area. The high-powered security and community engagement meeting attracted personalities including traditional rulers, women and youth leaders, security operatives, the Fulani and Hausa leadership in Ofante, political office holders, and other relevant stakeholders from Ofante, Adupi, Emodu, and surrounding communities. 2024/2025 WAEC Data Capturing Commences In Kogi Public Secondary Schools Jan. 13

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, Jan. 10, 2025 The Kogi State Ministry of Education, has announced the date for the commencement of Data Capturing for 2024/2025  West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Public Secondary Schools across the state.   The announcement was made in a statement signed by Mrs Iyabo Moraiyewa, the WAEC Desk Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Education on Friday in Lokoja.  According to the statement, the 2024/2025 WAEC data capturing would commence on Monday, January 13, 2025. Moraiyewa solicited for the total support and cooperation of the relevant stakeholders for a seamless exercise.
