Kogi Council Polls: Commissioner of Water Resources casts his vote at ward D, Yaragi Polling units 010, Lauds SIEC for transparent process

Kogi State Commissioner of water Resources, Engineer Yahaya Farouk, on Saturday, the 19th of October joined other voters to cast his ballot at ward D, Yaragi Polling units 010, Lokoja Local Government Area.
Speaking with Newsmen shortly after casting his vote, the Commissioner described the conduct of the election as transparent and peaceful.
Engineer Farouk who commended the people of the area for conducting themselves in a peaceful manner, said they were known for peace making, which he noted that they displayed during the exercise.
He attributed the success of the election to the credible performance of the Government in power and adequate preparation for the election in terms of early sensitization, provisions of electoral materials and adequate security measures put in place.
According to the Commissioner, contest in an election is a competition for public service, saying in every election, there must be a winner or a looser, calling on candidates of other political parties who may not be fortune to win to accept the results of the election in good faith and support whoever emerg for the overall development of the area.
The Commissioner commended the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, for creating an enabling environment for the success of the election, and also praised Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (SIEC) for transparent and hitch free process.
At the same polling units, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Job Creation and Teaching Regulation, Alhaji Mohammed Atachinozi and Special Adviser to the Governor on Youths Empowerment, Mr God'swill Adekoye both commended youths of the area for their peaceful conduct.
They appealed to youths in the area to continue to maintain peace among one another and sustain their supports for the present administration to attract more dividends of democracy to the area.
