NYSC: Governor Ododo urges Corpse members to promote National unity and integration during their service year
One Thousand one Hundred and Thirty-three of the Nigeria Youths Service Corpse (NYSC) Members have been deployed to kogi State for Twenty Twenty Four Batch-B, Stream Two.
Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in a message to the swearing in of the Corpse members at the NYSC permanent Orientation camp Asaya, in Kabba, Kabba Bunu Local Government Area, charged them to fulfil the hope and aspiration of their Father Land Nigeria.
Represented by the state Commissioner of Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday A Anyebe, the Governor advised corpse members to contribute immensely to the growth and development of the country during their service year in the state.
Governor Ododo enjoined them to promote National unity and integration during the scheme as a viable tool for the implementation of critical National development Programmes.
According to him, the orientation Programme is specially designed to instill in their leadership qualities including perseverance, discipline endurance and team work during and after their service year in the state.
The Governor Congratulated the Corps members on the successful completion of their educational endeavors from their various institutions of higher leaning in Nigeria and in diaspora.
In a remark, Kogi State Coordinator of the NYSC Mr. Femi Osungbobun advised the Corps members to obey the rules and regulations of the camp, saying the NYSC will not tolerate indiscipline in the camp.
Mr Femi Osungbobun expressed appreciation to the State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo for his commitment to the welfare of Corps members in the state.
The state coordinator appealed to the State Government not to relent efforts at considering the completion of fencing of the NYSC permanent orientation camp in Asaya for the safety of the Corps members and the staff.
