NYCN: Comrade Sunday David Adavize calls on youths to embrace digital era in chosen careers


The Coordinator , Okehi chapter of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN),  comrade Sunday David Adavize has  called on the youths to embrace the digital era in chosen careers.

Comrade Adavize made the call while addressing the youths during twenty twenty four International Youth Day Celebration at the Government House, Lokoja.

This year's National Youth Day with the theme;  "from click to progress,  Youth Digital Pathway for Sustainable Development", emphasized the critical role of digital technology in shaping the future.

While addressing the youth, comrade Adavize commanded the Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed usman ododo  for creating enabling environment for youths in the state to succeed.


He noted that the national youth council of Nigeria is committed to collaborating with government agencies to lead the campaign  aimed at enhancing digitization and enjoined the youth to take full advantage of digital age.
 
The Coordinator appealed to stakeholders in education sectors to use the opportunity to key into digital literacy to enable students be aware of technological importance in preparation for their future career as it fostering global connection.

While describing youth as the foundation of all nation, he emphasized mainly on the former Secretary General of the African Union " Koffi Annan", who says "any Nation that refuses to tap into its youth capacity remain backward", stressing that youth are the driving force behind societal progress.

SECURITY: OLAMABORO LOCAL GOVERNMENT CHAIRMAN ENGAGES OFANTE OGUGU COMMUNITY, PLACES BAN ON RECEIVING NEW FULANIS

In a bold and proactive move to address rising insecurity and the influx of Fulani into Ofante Ogugu community, Executive Chairman of Olamaboro Local Government, Hon. Ameh Williams, on June 20th, visited the community and Declared Zero Tolerance for insecurity and Criminal Activities in the area. The high-powered security and community engagement meeting attracted personalities including traditional rulers, women and youth leaders, security operatives, the Fulani and Hausa leadership in Ofante, political office holders, and other relevant stakeholders from Ofante, Adupi, Emodu, and surrounding communities. 2024/2025 WAEC Data Capturing Commences In Kogi Public Secondary Schools Jan. 13

By Stephen Adeleye  Lokoja, Jan. 10, 2025 The Kogi State Ministry of Education, has announced the date for the commencement of Data Capturing for 2024/2025  West African Examination Council (WAEC) in Public Secondary Schools across the state.   The announcement was made in a statement signed by Mrs Iyabo Moraiyewa, the WAEC Desk Officer, Kogi State Ministry of Education on Friday in Lokoja.  According to the statement, the 2024/2025 WAEC data capturing would commence on Monday, January 13, 2025. Moraiyewa solicited for the total support and cooperation of the relevant stakeholders for a seamless exercise.
