Hon. Okpanachi Philip scales through screening successfully to contest for Ogugu Ward 2 Councillor
Kogi State All Progressive Congress (APC) Screening Committee has screened Honourable Okpanachi Philip as Ogugu Ward 2 Aspirant of the party in the forthcoming Local Government Council polls.
Speaking shortly after his screening at the APC Secretariat Lokoja, Hon. OKPANACHI PHILIP expressed satisfaction with the exercise which he described as successful.
Hon Okpanachi who is the leading APC councillorship aspirant of Ogugu Ward two, while screened successfully, described the conduct of the exercise as free, fair and transparence.
He commended the screening Committe for the transparent exercise and expressed confidence that APC will present the best candidates that will lead the party to victory in the forthcoming Local Government Council polls.
"It was tremendous and the conduct is very ok, with the calibers of persons that screened us, we know that they are actually out for the best. By the special grace of God APC will file the best candidates". He said.
Hon. Okpanachi who was a former Supervising Councilor, Agric Olamaboro Local Government Area, said he had supplied fertilizer, seedlings of different types and other farm inputs to the people of his constituency during the tenure, saying the experience will spurs him to do more if elected as Ogugu Ward 2 councillors.
Except: "we have been doing the job, before now we have been giving back to them. I was appointed supervising councilor, Agric Olamaboro Local Government, and within this Short period, my constituency has benefited alot...if we get elected, they should expect more because more is coming in and so we shall return to them". His voice.
According to him, with the help of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, he was able to secured palliatives to the people of the area to alleviate their sufferings, which in their joyful response, sent "thank you feedback" to the Governor.
He appealed to members of the APC in the area to resolve their differences amicably and work together for victory of the party in the forthcoming Local Government Council polls.
The Aspirant also called on electorate in Ogugu Ward two to come out en mass on October nineteenth 2024 to vote for all candidates of the All Progressives Congress to attract more dividends of democracy to the people of the area.
