CEFN Teenagers Day : Immediate past Head of Service calls for proper attention to teenagers
Immediate past Head of Service in Kogi State, Mrs Hannah Odiyo says parents should step up actions towards saving their children from the hands of the enemy.
Mrs Odiyo made the call on Sunday in a Sermon at the Zonal Headquarters of Christian Evangelical Fellowship of Nigeria, CEFN in Lokoja to mark the teenagers Day.
The immediate past Head of Service who was guest speaker at the Special Service, noted that while teenagers are expected to be favoured by God and men, the enemy remains a major enemy.
According to her, many parents have abandoned their basic responsibilities of ensuring spiritual upbringing and rather faced mere worldly concerns.
She advised parents to not to give up, but pray more and build their teenagers in order to enable them overcome the evils of the present day society.
Mrs Odiyo admonished teenagers to be obedient to parents and embrace hard work, assuring that with these, their bright future will be guaranteed.
The host Pastor, Reverend Philip Alhassan, while presenting certificates to the teenagers, advised that training of children should be a collective responsibility.
Reverend Philip congratulated the teenagers on their graduated to youthful age and wished them well in all their endeavors.
